  • Keynote from Asaf Bitton, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Health Care Policy at Harvard Medical School, Assistant Professor at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Associate Program Director of Primary Health Care Performance Initiative at Ariadne Labs, and Core Faculty Lead for Transformation Strategy and Design at Harvard Medical School Center for Primary Care.

7:10-8:45pm: Expert Panel Discussion

  • Dr. Arshya Vahabzadeh, Resident Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, will discuss the importance of behavioral interventions and mental health in primary care as well as his international experience in British primary care settings –including the importance of engaging in the community, home visits, and a population based approach to care.

  • Dr. Andrew Morris-Singer, President and Founder, Primary Care Progress, will discuss the skills that providers must have – and the tools they already do - to achieve success in transitioning to new models of care. In particular, he will explore how approaches to relationships and communication will be increasingly important in primary care delivery.

  • Dr. Asaf Bitton, MD, MPH, Core Faculty Lead for Transformation Strategy and Design for the Harvard Medical School Center for Primary Care

  • Janice John, Chief Primary Care Physician Assistant at Cambridge Health Alliance, will discuss development of a Team Primary Care Model in an ACO that harnesses creatively the nimbleness of PAs to work in team base care, increasing access, continuity and provider and patient satisfaction.
