There’s a lot of satisfaction in developing a trusting, effective relationship over the course of a year.\" - PPL Tutor-Mentor Support a young person’s academic and social success by becoming a Tutor-Mentor with PPL’s after-school youth programs! PPL’s youth programs match adult Tutor-Mentors 1:1 with PPL resident youth in grades K-8th. Pairs focus their time on structured literacy tutoring as well as enrichment activities such as games, crafts, and relationship-building. \"The relationships we built were just as fulfilling, if not better, than the tutoring we did.\" - PPL Tutor-Mentor Where? Project for Pride in Living (PPL) is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering low-income families to become self-reliant through integrated services. Youth program takes place at Prosperity Village apartment building, one of PPL’s supportive housing sites which serves families transitioning from chronic homelessness. When? Mondays & Wednesdays, either 4:30-6:30pm or 5:30-7:30pm Training begins last week in September. School-year long commitment (Oct-mid May) required. How do I sign up?
