Are you an exceptional medical student interested in impacting current HIV policy issues? Do you want to develop your advocacy techniques and be the voice for change? Then YOU are invited to apply to the IDSA/HIVMA 2019 Policy and Advocacy Internship Program. Two outstanding medical students will have the opportunity to gain insight into HIV policy issues from all angles including global health, healthcare coverage and reform, research and diagnostics, public health emergency preparedness and response, and immunizations. Interns will learn effective advocacy strategies through real-life experiences, including meeting with congressional offices and federal agencies, working with advocacy coalitions, and mobilizing physicians to take action.
