Hi Dr. Ostrovsky,
One of my observations has been that many of the biggest players in health innovation and entrepreneurship aren't often practicing clinicians, but programmers, data scientists, and the likes of Silicon Valley tech evangelists. On some level, this seems like a missed opportunity; providers probably best understand the needs, challenges, and opportunities for innovation within day-to-day clinical medicine, but they less often seem to be the ones doing the designing.
One, would you agree with that assessment of the situation? And two, what steps do you think providers, healthcare institutions, and perhaps even medical education (or really, whoever you see as the key players) can take to better connect experts in clinical practice with those designing for clinical practice?
Thanks for weighing in!
