Hi, thank you for the insight! As a first year medical student, I am really working to figure out what the most effective ways to implement a procedure like this would be, and if it is the most cost effective and successful procedure in terms of producing a statistically significant change in patient outcomes.
In the US, I feel as though we would run into similar problems that you mentioned. From my knowledge, not every center in the US is going to be equipped with the tools, or people, needed to carry out this intraarterial treatment.
Could you comment on some of the costs of expanding intervention centers and the cost of training the doctors needed to carry out such a procedure? Essentially helping me to understand the cost-benefit of the widespread implementation of this procedure.
Thank you again for your time!
