As the healthcare landscape continues to evolve, health systems will need the ability to integrate technology and data into the delivery of patient care. As a pilot, we would work to integrate Wearable Technologies, such as Smart Glasses into the delivery of patient care. The pilot will also work to determine appropriate avenues to integrate data from the Wearables into our EHR to optimize patient care. The goal of this pilot would be to keep providers away from computers and in front of patients, allowing providers to see patients, view test results, chart notes, offer consultations, and more, all while using hands free technology from remote locations. This will allow providers to practice medicine and not be burdened with additional paperwork. While focusing on the triple aim, healthcare systems will have to become innovative in delivering healthcare and maintaining productivity. They will also have to explore additional delivery models to improve the health of the community.
