Immediate response from emergency care providers is critical in case of a physical trauma due to a vehicular accident or a simple fall.
Proposed wearable application TER detects possible occurrences of physical trauma and alerts medical personnel to provide continual vital statistics. It will also open an open communication channel to the emergency contacts.
TER will be written in Android and deployed to Android-based smart watches and glasses.
Detection will be based on accelerometer and gyroscope measurements using our propriety algorithms. When a possible traumatic event is detected TER will initiate collection of heart rate data and visuals of surrounding. Along with time and location of the accident, they will be transmitted to emergency care providers via notifications, email, sms, voice, and streaming visuals images/videos).
TER will provide an intuitive User Interface to configure a contact lists and calibrate the devices to prevent false alarms.
