Question special

It was very interesting that group based incentive programs were not more effective than individual programs, counter to the behavioral science research implying that groups can help motivate the behavior of individuals. Are there other group based program set ups that could be more effective, or do you think group based programs are likely to be generally ineffective for smoking cessation? Have group based programs been successful for other lifestyle changes (like weight loss, mentioned in the discussion), and, if so, why is smoking cessation different?
