There have been comparisons and contrasts made between the struggle for LGBT rights/health today and the struggle for women's rights/health or for racial minority rights/health (commonly referring to black/Latino populations). What do you think are the similarities? The differences? What can we learn from the history of women's rights, black rights, Latino rights, etc., that can be applied to LGBT rights? Even with landmark victories like the Equal Rights Amendment and the Civil Rights Act, there are still disparities in women's health and in racial minority health now, years later. Do you think the reduction in LGBT health disparities will be similarly long-term?
