Question special

I have really enjoyed this discussion and feel very fortunate to be a part of it. I have held leadership positions when I was on campus as well as now in my third year. Yet with each new responsibility, at times I have felt overwhelmed and doubted my capabilities. Occasionally, I find it hard to focus on the tasks in the moment when I’m always thinking of what’s next. First, how do you find the courage to take on new roles and responsibilities? Were you always "leadership material" or have experiences in surgery shaped you into the leader you are today? Lastly, as a leader, what keeps you grounded and present in your career?
