In one of the study's references by McAlindon et al in "OARSI guidelines for the non-surgical management of knee osteoarthritis," corticosteroid injections were considered an appropriate approach to management of knee OA (albeit for short term relief).

What role do corticosteroid injections and viscosupplementation play in your practice? Do you feel the authors should have included this as part of their non-operative management?
