Thank you all for a wonderful week of discussion. As a student, I have had the privilege of working with physicians, residents, midwives, doulas, nurses, and physicians assistants, all of whom provide a slightly different take on birth and perinatal care and make my education more well-rounded. I have, however, only been a part of births in the hospital setting. I am wondering if our experts could touch on ways in which students are taught about childbirth and how that might be changing as care becomes more interdisciplinary. What should future students expect to learn about out-of-hospital births?
