Thank you all for ten exciting days of conversation! We highlighted the contributions of the Snowden study to the greater understanding of out-of-hospital births in the United States. We discussed the implications of this study and other data on out-of-hospital birth for US policy and medical education. We touched upon ways in which protocols surrounding out-of-hospital birth and midwife-physician interaction are different in the United States than in other countries where out-of-hospital birth is more normalized. As our discussion ends tonight at midnight, I'd like to ask our authors where they think this conversation is headed. What are the next steps in understanding out-of-hospital birth in the United States?
