As we wrap up this discussion tonight, I want to thank Medstro, NEJM Group Open Forum, Dr. Perri Klass, and our fantastic expert discussants for giving us the opportunity to engage in this dynamic conversation about child poverty, and reflect upon the multifaceted approaches to mitigating the effects of poverty and ultimately taking steps toward eliminating it. On a personal note, it's been a privilege to moderate a discussion with so many passionate, creative, and committed folks, and inspiring to get a glimpse of the ways you are working toward improving the lives of children and families in your communities (and across the country & world!). Thank you all for sharing your thoughts, your questions, your experiences and ideas---there is a lot of work to do, but the more we can have these types of discussions, build connections, and work together, the better chance we have at making an impact. Until next time!
