To our experts: As we have discussed, prior to the current study, there were observations that asthma exacerbations could be linked to acetaminophen usage. What was the previous clinical mechanism proposed as to how asthma would be affected by acetaminophen? Was it thought to be a direct inciting event, or that treatment with acetaminophen would cause a temporary predisposition to asthma exacerbations? How long was this effect thought to last?
