Allergies (such as food, skin, dust), infections, and minor pains, aches, etc. are very common in emerging economies. Often, you can easily cure these by taking precautions or by simple DIY remedies. However, due to lack of access to correct information and low medical literacy such common problems can often turn into chronic illnesses.
Internet can be a source of learning and awareness for persons going through such illnesses, but how do you select the best remedy of the 1000s that you see available online? What happens if something goes wrong?
What if a Medical Bot helped you diagnose the problem correctly, and suggest the best possible remedy based on your symptoms. In addition, this information will be based on a machine-learning algorithm, with the help of secondary research and input from well-established doctors.
As per our solution - 9Lives, all users can have a chat with the medbot explaining the symptoms and the problem. The bot will be trained on medical data from the web as well as from doctors and hospitals.
The chatbot will be able to detect the type of allergy based on the symptoms mentioned by the patient and using image recognition. In return, it will provide a step-by-step guide to cure it. The bot will also recommend over the counter medicines as recommended by a doctor for that particular allergy. If the bot detects that the illness is serious and needs personal attention, the bot will recommend a doctor (in close proximity) through the app. The customer can book an appointment with recommended doctor by paying a consultation fee. This fee will be shared by the platform and the doctor, acting as an incentive for more and more doctors to be part of the platform
In the later stages - with enough data and users on the platform, the bot will notify the patients about their medications and provide information about the medicine through a chat based UI.
