Doctor Pocket is an iOS and Android app that lets users connect to a network of elite medical specialists from Harvard, Yale, Johns Hopkins, and McGill. Users have the liberty to pick a specialist (i.e.: dermatologist, radiologist, pediatrician, etc.) of their choice and meet in a virtual consult through an instant messaging platform. Users pay a fee set by the specialist to ask their medical questions; the sessions remain active until the users are satisfied and their questions have been answered.
Quality of healthcare is a problem.

Whenever you are sick, or if you need a medical procedure (e.g. mastectomy or prostatectomy), you don’t know anything until you do your research online. Doctor Pocket provides you with specialists that help you with the first decisions you make in treating yourself. Stop resorting to “Dr. Google” and WebMD and trying to self-diagnose. Based on symptoms and artificial intelligence, users come to conclusions that are distressing. Trying to replace a Doctor with a medical degree and decades of experience is painful. Doctor Pocket offers the peace of mind to individuals making sure they receive personalized medical attention from the best MDs in the world quickly. This eliminates the need of patients to try to match their symptoms.

Accessibility: Creating an Ecosystem
We will bring to life an ecosystem, not only connecting patients to doctors, but also doctors to doctors, and doctors directly to pharmacies. With an end-to-end encrypted messaging platform, patients will be given the ability to chat with a medical professional right from their fingertips. Doctors will also have open communication with each other regarding complex cases. MDs will be connected to all pharmacies, allowing them to prescribe straight from the platform. From the doctor's phone, to the patient's home, no hassle, no paperwork. In addition, each patient will have an Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Patients and doctors can access patients’ medical records electronically. Wherever the patients go their EMR goes with them. Whether it is an MRI report or blood work, the doctor will have virtual access.
Monitorability: Integrating a medical device
We will fuse the medical device industry to the telemedicine industry, breaking all physical barriers to an e-consult. An all-in-one medical device that measures blood pressure, performs an ECG, records body temperature, blood sugar levels, blood oxygen levels, and has an integrated microphone to hear heart and lung functions. This will be used during a real-time consult, providing the doctor with even more vitals and metrics than a physical exam. Vitals and metrics that would, normally, take hours or days to collect, will be available immediately to the MD. All metrics are registered in the medical device’s memory, storing information straight in the patient's Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Retrieving vitals is automated, alleviating the extraneous effort of keeping manual logs.
Efficiency: Time & Cost-Effective Approach
24/7 on-call nurses will attend to the patients guiding them on the right track by preparing their medical history and current medical issue(s) and refer them to right doctor for an e-consult. With time and collected data, an artificial intelligent bot will automate the triage process, removing all unnecessary operating costs. When the e-consult with the MD starts, no time is wasted as the doctor will have in hand all crucial information. The nurse, as part of the quality assurance function, will complete patient’s follow-ups 48 hours after each consult. In addition, a transparent payment solution will be automated. Starting from the e-consult to when the prescribed medication is received at the patient's residence. Eliminating all unnecessary administrative costs for both Hospitals and Pharmacies, by streamlining the process of talking to a doctor and receiving the medication in the patient's hand without the need of a physical visit.
